radiant

Tomorrow it's the last day of my test week and after then, summer holidays are finally starting! Unfortunately I'm grounded for the following month, so the first four weeks are party-less, but I'm glad though! Besides I'm leaving to Italy the 12th of July, so I won't miss that much being grounded. Have you already mentioned that the Netherlands reached the quarter final at the World Cup? They won 2-1 againt Slovakia and now they need to beat Brazil this friday. Seems like a biiiig task, but I think we're not completely without a chance. Well, my french is yelling at me that I have to study, so I will. Thumbs up for my perseverance ha-ha!

Finally! It's getting summer in Holland too! Seriously, we had to wait a month or three for the weather to actually get a little better, but today it was somewhere about 30 degrees I think. Though my parents were at the beach all day, I wasn't jealouse at all. Of course, I had to study, but studying gets a lot easier wearing a bikini and sunglasses and an icecream in your hand. Besides, with this weather I prefer doing as less excercise as possible, so sitting around all day wasn't bad at all.

First I wore a jeans short with a see-trough top. I took the top of, because it was getting so warm and when I turned inside to get rid of my pants and put on my bikini, I found out that I already had the sunmarks on my legs haha! Looked so silly, but fortunately it disappeared during the day while wearing my bikini.

I did some citron-juice in my hair because they say it makes your hair lighter when you're in the sun, and I turned completely blond. I kind of look like malibu barbie now: blond hair and a dark-tanned skin. Hopefully it will fade a little in the next few days.

Dessert is served

Though my mom hates it when I do it, I keep feeding my pets strawberry desserts. My dog loves it and my cat acts like she likes it but she actually does it because it's another 10 seconds of attention. But you have to agree with me that this is the most adorable thing you've ever seen, right?

This weekend I'm home alone. Seems kind of nice, but the reason I'm all by myself for three days is that my parents and brothers are to the beach for three days (they're staying at a campside) and I still have my test week, so I have to study this weekend. I know, I know, I'm a die-hard (rhymes with retard...). But hey, I already arranged a barbecue tomorrow and I'm hoping to go to a festival this Sunday, so I won't be bored at all I think! Besides, it is kind of chill to have a whole house available for only me, myself and I. Unfortunately they didn't take the cat with 'em, so I'm still inflicted with that monster...

Arrivederci Azzurri

An homage to Italy, who didn't reach the next round of the World Cup. And an extra tribute to Fabio Cannavaro, because it was his last performance with the national team and he's still extremely hot, though he's already 36. Arrivederci Azzurri e grazie Fabio!

So my social studies test went quite well, but that's kind of logical since I've studied my ass of for that test. Tomorrow we have a literature history test, which is really boring but Dutch is one of my best subjects so I don't reallt worry (yet). Tonight it's the last match of the group phase at the World Cup for the Netherlands. We have to win or need a draw to be group leader, but we're placed for the next round already, so it doesn't really matter what the result will be. For now I'm heading back to my studybook because I finally found the motivation and got to turn to good account.

I'm studying my ass of. At least I'm trying now, which took a while. But I'm confinced that I will pass tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Only the tests after the weekend might be a little problem. But let's stay optimistic!

So... There's this dilemma. This sunday there's a (free!) festival at the Hague and Justin Nozuka (omg he's so gooood) is performing. I really really want to go but there are two things that might cause a little problem: 1. I don't have the money for a train ticket and 2. Monday I have a math test and Tuesday English, history and art history. I really have no clue what to do :-(

Ohhh gosh, by the way: have you seen the new Calvin Klein fragrance commercial? The one with Jamie Dornan? He is so fine, oh my...

I'm stuDYING

Let me picture you how today looked like: The morning started at 8:30, while it was already 22 degrees. Arriving at school, it was already so nice and warm that I couldn't force myself to study. During the lessons, I tried and tried my best and I must admit: it nearly worked. But then I came outside again and my motivation disappeared. Then there was this moment I took my books out of my bag and even started to study, but it didn't take any longer than five minutes. Now I'm watching England against Slovenia and trying to focus on my social studies, but I don't think that will do. Perhaps luck is on my side tomorrow and I will still get the grade I really really need. Fingers crossed.

Cute!

Thinking about getting one of the following items. Don't you just love the black dress? Perfect for a night out. And what to think about the drapery jacket, couldn't be any better (well, perhaps the color. This isn't quite my color I think). The skirt is just cute and the pink dress would go perfectly with a pair of high heels and a fedora hat.

Holland!

You guys probably all watch the World Cup. And perhaps you've already noticed that Holland already reached the next round, along with Brazil. I think I do not have to explain why Holland is going to be World Champion, that will just happen and there's no need for explanation. Bad thing about the World Cup is that it is during my testweek (I already metioned) and since I'm watching every single game (even the lame games like South-Korea - Greece and so on) it's not really working in advantage of my study. But hey, priorities, right :)

A few weeks ago, my friends and I were helping at a socces tournament at a local sportsclub. Our job was blowing the balloons and making sandwiches. As you can see below we did quite a good job ;-)

I turned my back to the past

I discovered that when it's the need to study, I get too easily distracted. I mean, normally my focus is way to easy gone, but when it comes to the real business (school!) it becomes even worse. And you may call that a pity, because I really need to have straight 7's and 8's... Though the World Cup seems more usefull to me, along with twittering, facebooking and blogging. Aiii :-(

H&M must have got a BIG crush on me

NEED NEED NEEEEEEED IT arghhh. Those shoes, so perfect, so fine. And what to think about the sweater. Picture it with a boyfriend jeans short, off-white canvas sneakers (or those high heels while shopping), stylish bikini-top and golden detailed-aviator sunglasses with your hair all windy with small pigtails and a setting sun. Ohhhh I'm looking forward to my holiday in Venice! But the main important thing is to pass my exams next week... :-(

Tattoo

Ever since I'm eleven, I'm fascinated by tattoos. First it was just wondering what it would be like to have one, which seemed like something unattainable. Then I started asking my parents if there's a change to get one for my birthday (they started laughing...). A couple of years passed, and at the time I'm writing this, I know one thing for sure: as soon as I reach the permitted age of eighteen, I will get my very own tattoo. I found some great tattoos already, but I am not sure yet which one to pick. I'm doubting between the following pieces: A small star behind my ear, a small star on my wrist, lowerarm or back of the hand, an arabic text in the inside of my upper arm or a small symbol (star, chinese sign or something arabian) on my ankle. On a website with all celebrity-tattoos, I found the following, which were inspiring too. I'm really really really fond of the Victoria Beckham-piece on her back (which is on the last photo). What about you? Would you consider taking a tattoo, or do you already have one?

Colourful

I've got my ears pierced for 5 times, three times on the left side and two times on the right, so I have a lot of holes to fill with several earrings. At - of course - the H&M I found a whole bunch of colourful earrings, 9 pairs for only €2,95!

I am a little bit fed up with the weather. We had such lovely days full of sun, but, as usual, it only lasted for three days and now it's raining and raining and raining again. I want to wear my new Zara flower skirt, my new Sustilo jumpsuit and my new H&M bikini, but it seems like i'm stuck with the boots, coats and umbrella's for now...

Stare into the sun

This song is used in an advertisement for some beer, and the first time I heard it on television, it was immediately stuck in bij head. I tried to download it several times, but my Limewire let me down. Finally, I was able to find a good one that was working, though it is an acoustic version. The song is so summer-ish, if it's up to me this will be THE song of Summer 2010. Enjoy!
